About the College
A. S. Mandal’s, Arts & Commerce College Trusts, C.H.C. Arts, S.G.P. Commerce & B.B.J.P. Science College has been founded by a visionary educationalist late Prin. G. H. Mahajan. It is one of the premier institutions of higher education situated at the foothills of the Satpuda mountain ranges. It is one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in Dhule and Nandurbar districts. Today it is the only college in Taloda Tahsil imparting undergraduate education in all the streams of Arts, Science and Commerce and postgraduate education in Chemistry, Botany and Hindi. In addition to these programmes two UGC sponsored career oriented courses are also run by the college. Besides we are catering to the needs of the poor tribal, paeasant, rural sections of our society.
The college was started in 1971 in a small building; the college moved to its present premises in the year 1980 and has been expanding ever since. The college is affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. In 2012 the college has gone through the process of re-accreditation and has been awarded ‘B’ grade with 2.68 CGPA. Along with Dept. of Physics, three other laboratories of our college are recognized as a research centres by North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The college has been continuously progressing under the able guidance of the present Chairman, Honorable members of Management and Prin. Dr. P. V. Ramaiah.
About the Avishkar 2017
“Avishkar” is a research convention that provides a platform to exhibit innovative ideas, original thinking, scientific attitude and creativity among the students and research scholars. District level “Avishkar 2017” was organized by our Department of Physics, C.H.C. Arts, S.G.P. Commerce & B.B.J.P. Science College, Taloda in collaboration with North Maharashtra University, Jalgaonon 21st December 2017. Dr. S. R. Gosavi coordinated the event with the help of faculty of different streams of our college and non-teaching staff under the guidance of Prin. Dr. P. V. Ramaiah and Honorable Management members. The objective of “Avishkar 2017” is to explore innovative ideasof UG and PG students as well as research scholars and faculties from different disciplines such as;
1. Social Sciences Education, Fine Arts, Languages, Humanities etc.
2. Commerce, Management, Law etc.
3. Pure Sciences: Physics, Chemical, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Environment, Home and Computer Science
4. Agriculture and Animal Husbandry
5. Engineering & Technology
6. Medicine and Pharmacy
This research convention was organized for the bonafied students and teachers studying and working under North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon at following levels;
1. Undergraduate (UG)
2. Post-Graduate (PG)
3. Post-PG (PPG)
4. Teacher (TH)
